My goal in Congress will be to work hard to represent Indiana to act as my grandmother urged with "foresight, and courage, and persistence against apathy and misfortune." As a result, I will work to cut regulations, create jobs, and stop the overspending. Also, I will look to the next generation and raise up new leaders and ensure that Indiana has a strong voice in Washington D.C.

I believe the way to win our future back is to do it together, and be on the ground and meeting with voters. I firmly believe that balancing the federal budget is one of Congress' most important duties, yet it is one most ignored. For the past two decades, Congress has played politics with the budget, simply putting band-aids on the problem until the next election cycle. And then repeating the same thing. This is not responsible government.

What is interesting about my friend’s question is that the Republican Party is represented as an elephant. And as the political outsider in this primary election that is exactly who I’m facing – Republican “Elephants” with giant war chests. And the great part about eating these elephants?
